The Komodo Dragon

The Komodo dragon is a large species of lizard found in the Indonesian islands.  It is the largest living species of lizard found in the world.  The reason Komodo dragons grow to be this large (6.6 to 8 ft) is because on the islands they live on, there are no other carnivores.  These bad boys can see up to 300 metres (980ft) away! That's ridiculous.  Komodo dragons eat mostly carrion.  They can swallow goats in 15-20 minutes.  These buggers can have up to 73 different strains of bacteria in their mouth, which almost all are deadly to humans.  How they are unaffected by them is still a mystery.
